Santa Cruz, California – June 10th, 2006

On the west coast, in Santa Cruz, locally based international organizations Save the Waves Coalition and Ocean Revolution are teaming up to bring all ocean lovers together at the 2nd annual benefit concert for OCEAN REVOLUTION - a musical celebration to raise consciousness, empower youth, and share solutions for healthy oceans. Last year’s successful concert featured The Mother Hips, the Mermen, and Ape.

The ocean provides us all with food, health and fun, however the research is clear. Pollution, over fishing and coastal development is destroying our relationship with the sea. The ocean-loving community will come together in Santa Cruz for the OCEAN REVOLUTION, an event designed to protect our wonderful marine resources by supporting two Santa Cruz based non-profit organizations dedicated to marine conservation.

ALL PROCEEDS WILL GO DIRECTLY TO OCEAN CONSERVATION

ABOUT THE PERFORMERS:
Ted Lennon – Often compared with Jack Johnson, Ted Lennon’s music exudes the laid-back California surf culture of his youth.  His blend of hushed vocals and acoustic guitar radiates a warm and intimate bluesy-folk sound.  His father provides subtle accompaniment on ukulele, guitar, and xylophone.
